2013 Policy & Rates for New Denver's Centennial Campground

Centennial Campground in New Denver is run by the Village of New Denver. They have just issued an updated policy. Copy & Pasted here:

Village of New Denver Effective Date: Centennial Campground Policy April 9, 2013
Centennial Campground is owned by the Village of New Denver and operates from May 1st through September 30th. A campground host is contracted to manage the day-to-day operation of Centennial Campground, in accordance with the policy adopted by the Council of the Village of New Denver.

1. Fees:
a. Campground fees, including applicable taxes, for the 2013 season are as follows:
# Regular site: $23
# Lakeside site: $26
# Serviced site: $30
# Group tent site: $15/tent (maximum $60)
# Overflow site: $8

b. All campground patrons receive one free sani-dump per stay. Non-patrons must pay $5.00 to use the sani-dump station.

2. General Regulations:
a. Centennial Campground operates from May 1st through September 30th
b. There is a maximum stay of 14 days. Longer stays may be allowed, on a day-to-
day basis only, if vacancies exist.
c. Loud noise is prohibited between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
d. Generators may be operated between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon, and between
4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. only.
e. Fires are only permitted in designated fire pits. Fires are not permitted on the
beach, except in designated location. Firewood can be purchased from the
campground hosts. Scavenging for firewood is prohibited.
f. All dogs must be leashed in Centennial Campground and in Centennial Park. Pet
owners are responsible for collecting and disposing of waste from their animals.

3. Reservations:
a. Reservations are permitted for a limited number of sites (#38-#44, plus the group
tenting site)
b. Reservations require Council approval 30 days prior to arrival – Council’s policy
is to grant reservations to groups in good standing with the campground.
c. Full payment (cash or money order) must be received by the Village Office at
least two (2) weeks prior to arrival in order to guarantee the reservation.
d. Payment by cheque will only be accepted in cases where advance approval of the
Administrator has been obtained.
e. In the event of cancellation, a charge equal to one night’s payment will apply,
with the balance of funds to be returned to the camper.

4. Camper Registration:
a. Prior to occupying a site, all campers must register with the campground hosts,
who will allocate available sites on a first-come, first-serve basis.
b. Only one unit (RV, trailer or tent) is permitted per site. Additional units must
locate in available empty sites. (Children under 18 may occupy a tent on the
same site as their family unit, at no cost).
c. If the campground is full, additional units may locate on occupied sites – each
additional unit will be charged the full price for the site.
d. Check-out time for all campsites shall be no later than 11:00 a.m.

5. Overflow Sites:
a. Overflow sites are located along the road to the Marina.
b. Campers may be placed in overflow sites when all other campground sites are
occupied. Campers in overflow sites will be moved into other sites by the
campground hosts in order of arrival.
c. When all overflow sites are occupied, prospective campers must be turned away.
d. Additional overflow sites may only be designated by Council.

6. Parking:
a. All vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas or campsites at all times.
b. Parking spaces designated “local boat trailer parking” are for day-use only.
